Comox Valley RCMP release pictures of suspect in Courtenay assault

On March 15, 2021 Comox Valley RCMP received a report of an assault that occurred on the Rotary trail near 11th Street and Cumberland Avenue in Courtenay. Investigators have obtained a picture of the suspect and are looking for assistance to identify the man.

The victim reported that he was walking along the trail when he nodded at the suspect who then pulled out a small hammer and swung it in his direction, hitting him in the arm.
