A 23 year old investigation continues as police receive information from the public.

On August 2nd, 1993, Lindsey NICHOLLS was 14 years of age when she went missing.

Lindsey was believed to be on her way to visit friends as part of the BC Day long weekend celebration in Comox, but she never arrived. She was last seen walking down Royston Rd in the Comox Valley, B.C. and was never seen again. She is described as 5'3", 110-115 lbs, green eyes and blonde hair with red henna. She had been wearing jeans, a khaki silk tank top, a blue and pink checkered shirt and white runners. Her family has never given up hope that one day they would have some answers about Lindsey's disappearance.

Over the past two days beginning on August 16, 2016, twenty forensically trained police officers conducted a thorough search and excavation on a rural property based on a tip from the public. The search has now been completed. However, the results cannot be shared as the investigation is still ongoing.

Somebody out there may know something, even if they believe it is minor or insignificant, that may assist in this investigation, says Corporal Tammy Douglas. We are asking anyone who may have information on Lindsey’s whereabouts or what may have happened to her to please call your local police or Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous. Next month would be Lindsey's 38th birthday and her family is still looking for answers, she adds.
