Comox Valley RCMP is looking to identify the suspect who allegedly stole over $2000 worth of tools from Home Depot in Courtenay.


On August 7, 2024 a woman entered the store and was captured on surveillance as she left with a full cart of tools, reportedly without paying for them.

Comox Valley RCMP are looking to identify the suspect in a theft that occurred during Market Day on July 20, 2024 in Courtenay.


The suspect reportedly took the generator from a parking lot on the corner of 5 th Street and England Avenue between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Investigators spoke with businesses in the area and were able to locate surveillance footage of two suspects exchanging the stolen generator.

"We are concerned and disappointed that this theft affected not only local businesses but a community event meant for everyone to enjoy. Said Cst. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer. We are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist us in ensuring that such events remain safe and pleasant for everyone.
