A residential break, enter and theft was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on February 1st. Sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) had entered a residence, located on the 3600 block of Thompson Road, Courtenay. A television and wallet was taken from the home. (2017-1360)

The Comox Valley RCMP were advised of a garage that had been broken to overnight on February 1st. The garage, located on the 4100 block of Gartley Point Road, Royston had been entered and several construction tools were taken. (2017-1363)

The theft of a motorbike was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on February 1st. The yellow 2014 Suzuki 125CC dirt bike had been stolen from a shed located on the 3600 block of Winn Road, Merville. It is believed that the bike had been stolen within the past three weeks. (2017-1397)

On February 3rd, as the snow began to fall in the Valley, the Comox Valley RCMP received several reports of motor Vehicle collisions. 9 collisions were responded to on February 3rd alone. These collisions consisted of single vehicle collisions to multi vehicle collisions and all appear to have been weather related. The Comox Valley RCMP would like to remind drivers, please slow down, and give yourself extra time while travelling when the weather conditions deteriorate, as they did this past weekend.

On February 3rd, the Comox Valley RCMP received information of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was quickly located and a traffic stop was initiated. The driver was found to have consumed alcohol before driving, and was served a 90 day immediate roadside driving prohibition. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days. (2017-1482)

A stolen car was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on February 4th. The vehicle had been parked on the 5900 block of Island Highway north overnight, when it was stolen. The vehicle is a Red, 1998 4 door Chevrolet Cavalier bearing British Columbia Licence Plate number DBV578E. The Vehicle has a silver pinstripe along the side and a rear spoiler. (2017-1496)

Mischief to a home and vehicle was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on February 6th. The residence, located on the 2000 block of 13th Street, Courtenay, had a window broken overnight. A vehicle at the same location had its tires slashed and the fuel tank was tampered with. (2017-1553)

A report of a stolen vehicle was received by the Comox Valley RCMP on February 6th. A red, 1991 Nissan Pickup, bearing British Columbia Licence plate JT2796 had been stolen from 2500 block of Dunsmuir Avenue, Cumberland. (2017-1561)
