On January 25th, the Comox Valley RCMP were advised of a break, enter and theft on the 200 block of Richard Street, Union Bay. Sometime overnight, an unknown person had broken into a garage and stole tools, snowboards, boots and rain gear. The Comox Valley RCMP Forensic Identification Service is assisting with this investigation. (2017-1043)
The Comox Valley RCMP received a report of a compound that had been broken into in the Cowie Creek area of Fanny Bay. Sometime between January 18th and January 25th, an unknown person had broken into the compound and stolen a quantity of copper wire. (2017-1049)
A stolen vehicle was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on January 25th. The 1999 White Dodge Caravan had been parked on the 1500 block of Flicker Place, Courtenay. The vehicle did not have valid licence plates on it at the time of the theft. (2017-1057)
On January 26th, the Comox Valley RCMP responded to a break, enter and theft on the 1200 block of Crown Isle Boulevard, Courtenay. Sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) had broken into a parked trailer. Several construction tools had been stolen. The Comox Valley RCMP Forensic Identification Section attended the scene to assist with the investigation. (2017-1094)
A mischief to a vehicle was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on January 26th. A vehicle parked on the 2200 block of Fitzgerald Avenue, Courtenay had its windshield chipped by an unknown object. (2017-1108)
The Comox Valley RCMP were advised of a mischief to a vehicle on January 27th. It was reported that on January 23rd, an unknown person had punctured a vehicle tire while it was parked on the 100 block of Rod and Gun Road in Courtenay. (2017-1160)
On January 27th, at approximately 7:40 pm, the Comox Valley RCMP received a call regarding a hit and run that had occurred on the 5400 block of Tappin Street, Union Bay. The investigation revealed that a pickup truck had been backed through a fence, into a residence. The driver then threw rocks at a house window, breaking it, before fleeing the scene. The Comox Valley RCMP are looking for assistance in locating the vehicle and driver involved in this incident. A vehicle description is unavailable, but it will have a broken taillight. An outboard boat motor theft was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on January 28th. The Yamaha Kicker model T9.9GPLH motor was taken off a boat that had been parked on the 400 block of Silverdale Crescent, Courtenay. The motor is described to be white with blue pin stripes. (2017-1200)
The theft of a bicycle was reported to the Comox Valley RCMP on January 30th. Sometime between January 28th and January 30th, the silver Rocky Mountain street bike was taken from a residence located on the 900 block of 17th street, Courtenay. The bike id described to be a Metro 10 model with thin tires, black rims and spokes and disc brakes. (2017-1272)
The Comox Valley RCMP were advised of a mischief to a vehicle on January 30th. An unknown person had punctured two tires on a vehicle while it was parked on the 3000 block of Royston Road, Cumberland, during the evening. (2017-1298)
