Comox Valley RCMP Drug Section

The Comox Valley RCMP Drug Section, is a team of police Officers within the Comox Valley RCMP Detachment, mandated to target drug trafficking in the Comox Valley. Having this group who are well trained, has expertise in this area and works very well with other sections within the Detachment, a huge bonus for our community. They work hard and have gotten results.

The team ended 2017 strongly, with the execution of a search warrant in December and the arrest of two males. A 30 year old Courtenay resident was arrested and release on a Promise to appear for court on a future date, facing charges of Possession of a controlled substance.

32 year old Courtenay resident, Travis Grant Sehn faces charges of possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Heroin and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine. Sehn has his next court appearance on February 8th, 2018 in Courtenay.

“Our Drug section continues to work very hard and is continuing to disrupt drug trafficking into 2018.” stated Cst Rob Gardner, Comox Valley RCMP Media Relations officer. “These investigations take a lot of time, we are very lucky to have a dedicated team of investigators that can work on these files. Many times right from receiving a tip from the public, to writing warrants, making arrests and testifying in court.”
